Committed to Excellence: Jose Velasco ’27

Jose Velasco, a Chemistry major and S-STEM Scholar, has been nominated for The Goldwater Scholarship Program, which seeks to identify, encourage, and financially support college sophomores and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming this Nation’s next generation of research leaders in science, engineering, and mathematics.

Norwich Endorses Truman Scholarship Candidates

Three students have earned the University’s endorsement in pursuit of the prestigious Truman Scholarship: Kyle Duffek ’27, Lily LaCroix ’27, and Lukas Walker. The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation was created to “award scholarships to persons who demonstrate outstanding potential for and who plan to pursue a career in public service.”

RQI Implementation Offers Nursing students BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications

The Norwich University School of Nursing (NUSON), in partnership with Laerdal, has implemented the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program to provide nursing students and faculty with the opportunity to learn, develop, and maintain the clinical skills associated with high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Students Compete in National Cybersecurity Competition

Twenty-two students from the Cyber Leader Development Program and Unit 1819 participated in the National Cyber League Fall Team Open during the weekend of Nov. 7-9. “Capture the Flag” competitions provide teams of hacker’s challenges to solve together as a group.
